Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, town or location, preferred call time, the services you are interested in, and your project description.

When you browse the site, we collect usage information: the pages you view, the site that referred you, the buttons and links you click, how long you stay on a page, your device and browser type, your approximate location (country), and page performance and error data. Our web server logs also record your IP address and browser details, which we keep for up to one year. This information is linked to random identifiers, not to your name or contact details.

When you contact us, we also record how you found our site: the ad click identifier (such as Google's gclid) and campaign tags from the link you followed, the page you landed on, the website that referred you, and when you visited. We store this with your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to contact you about your home improvement project. We use usage information to understand how the site is used, fix problems, and measure how well our advertising works.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this site (Amazon Web Services hosts the site, stores inquiries, and keeps the server logs) and with Google for advertising measurement and remarketing, as described below.

3. Advertising and Google Ads

We advertise with Google Ads. This site uses the Google tag to measure which ads lead to inquiries and to show our ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing).

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (such as its IDE cookie on doubleclick.net) enables it and its partners to show you our ads on sites across the Internet based on your visits to this and other sites.

When you submit the contact form, the Google tag may send your email address, phone number, name, and any address details you enter to Google in hashed (encoded) form. Google uses it only to tell us whether an inquiry came from one of our ads, and processes it on our behalf under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. We may also tell Google Ads which inquiries became projects, using the ad click identifier stored with your inquiry.

If you arrive from one of our ads, the phone number shown on the site may be a Google forwarding number. Calls to it are routed through Google, which tells us the time and length of the call and the caller's area code, so we can see which ads lead to calls.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center, and opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies through the Network Advertising Initiative. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. Cookies and Browser Storage

This site uses the following cookies and browser storage:

  • Google Ads conversion measurement (_gcl_au and _gcl_aw cookies, _gcl_ls local storage, and the gwcc cookie when a Google forwarding number is shown): tells us which ads lead to inquiries and calls.
  • Google advertising cookies set on google.com and doubleclick.net (for example IDE): remarketing and ad personalization.
  • Amazon CloudWatch RUM (cwr_s and cwr_u cookies, cwr_c and cwr_i local storage): page performance and error monitoring. cwr_u and cwr_i are random identifiers that persist across visits.
  • Site analytics (session storage, cleared when you close the tab): a random session identifier for the usage information above. No cookie is set.
  • Lead source (local storage): how you found the site (ad click identifier, campaign tags, landing page, and referring site), used for up to 90 days so it can be attached to your inquiry if you contact us later. After that it is ignored and replaced on your next visit; clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
  • Site content (local storage): a copy of the site's text and image links so pages load faster on your next visit.

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The site will still work, but we won't be able to measure our ads. This site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals; use the opt-out links above and your browser's cookie controls instead.

5. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
